blade interface for unsteady computation

Hi all,

i have a question about the blade interface. Normally, the numbers of stator and rotor blades in turbomachinery are not equal. To conduct an unsteady simulation, the blade interface should be matched to each other. I've heard about some scaling methods to solve this problem. Can anyone tell me in detail or give me some references?

I thank you very much in advance.

Re: blade interface for unsteady computation

there are couple of techniques for this kind of problems. one is developed by Erdos J.I. refer to his AIAA paper. The otherone which will i think be suitable for your case is developed by Rai M. M. you can refer to AIAA journal for his paper

Look for J.D. Dentons and W.N. Dawes paper in Journal of turbomachines particularly 1992.
