heat transfer on horizontal heated wall

Hi all,

I am trying to compare CFD methods to experimental for heat transfer along a horizontal heated wall. I have loads of experimental papers, but absolutely none using CFD methods. Could anybody recommend some literature or even an explanation as to why such literature seems to be impossible to find. I have spent many weeks now, and I am running out of ideas (as the deadline approaches!). Any contributions greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

GPB.

Vertical heated walls are much more common in reality and thus have received much more attention from the world of CFD.

A horizontal heated wall is pretty fundamental to Rayleigh-Banard convection. Try searching for CFD work on that!

Good luck.
