Mesh size for particulate flow simulations
I am simulating gas-solid particle flow using Eulerian-Eulerian method. It means I am considering the solid particle phase movement as a flow. I have a question regarding size of the mesh.
As you know to simulate the single phase flow (like gas flow) we reduce the mesh size to reach to a mesh dependency. In my case as long as I reduce the mesh size I am getting a new physical properties for particle phase. (it means I never reach to mesh independency for particulate phase), but I know that there should be a limit for decreasing mesh size to be within the continuity assumption for particulate phase.
I found some definition for Knudsen number in particulate flows, but I think they could not give me what I am looking for.
Do you have any opinion about this?
