Explicit calculation issue

Hi,

I'm trying to run an unsteady calculation using the explicit method using an inhouse CFD code. The problem is when I use explicit my time step size is very small (of the order of -12). So it is taking a very long to to achieve the required simulation time.

I can't seem to find a bad cell which might give such a small time step and I want to use Tecplot to show me the local timestep (assuming CFL=1) for all the grid points, i.e. I want to read in a steady flow result of the same geometry in Tecplot and then calculate the the timestep size using the flow speed, mesh size and CFL=1.

Is it possible to do this in Tecplot? Or does anyone know of a better method to achieve this?

Thanks in advance.
I.
