Lift and drag force -- CFD Online Discussion Forums

Arti New Member Join Date: Apr 2009 Posts: 26 Rep Power: 17	Ok. I have this problem here. I am using AVL Swift for my simulation for airfoil project. The results i have are only velocity in the x and y direction and pressure. The lift force i know could be calculated using the pressure values over the aifoil surface. How do i go about finding the drag force(wall shear stress and pressure drag) on the airfoil to find my Cd data using only those values. Any help would do. Would also like to know more about how the drag force is calculated in wind tunnels. Thanks alot.
