Hi,
In an analysis of turbulent flow, k - e model was used with enhanced wall treatment. The following requirements are necessary for enhanced wall treatment: 1) y+ value to be of the order of 1 and 2) atleast 10 cells within viscosity affected near wall region(Re y < 200) I have checked for y+ and the requirement is satisfied. But I am unable to check for the 2nd requirement. How do I find the distance from the wall where Rey < 200 ? Does it involve manual computation or can it be done in Fluent? |

I am not sure if there is a function to look for Re y < 200. If you know that the first mesh point is < 1, try defining a variable that specifies Re y. Plotting this parameter will show you as to how many points are within Re y < 200.
