Finding a post-doc in CFD-fields from a chemistry background
I am currently a PhD student working on detailed reaction mechanisms for combustion processes.
Being interested in CFD-modeling applied to combustion problems, I would like to find a post-doc position in CFD-field after the completion of my PhD. I had a formation in environmental sciences with a strong background on chemistry, during which I had also followed lessons about thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfers, numerical analysis and all things necessary to fully understand and handle combustion processes. Nevertheless, I have until now not directly employed a CFD-code, but I find that really interesting and I would like to orient myself toward this direction. Do you think it is possible for me under these conditions to find a postdoc position in CFD combustion modeling, in spite of my lack of direct experience ? I thank you very much for your response ! |
