Hi all,
I would like to design an air straightener for use with a MAF sensor, however space is limited (dia tube: 85mm and lenght 135mm with sensor at 76mm from start). Flow is introduced from a bigger tube trough converging geometry. Bigger tube is represented as a BC with area 3x air straightener, flow is divided over different faces each with alternating +70 -70 degrees of inlet flow and high turbulence +10 percent. What is considered as a good solution in these cases: honeycomb vs rectangular, how long does the straigtner have to be, how far before the maf sensor needs it te be placed, how far from the entrance needs it to be placed? Regards, Bram |
