VOF vs LSM Numerical Method

Hi users
Would like to know if anyone did compared or studied on the VOF (volume of fluids) vs LSM (level set method) in free surface tracking? which method provided better accuracy and faster simulation time? :)

You need to be far more specific about what you want. What type of free surface flows are you looking at? How important is conservation? What sort of mesh (structured, unstructured, high-aspect ratio)? For your analysis, how important are good surface normals and curvature? What is the jump in coefficients across the interface? What is the eventual goal of your model (optimization?) and what methods do you plan to use for that. Will you need adjoints? How about stability with large time steps, for rapid steady-state analysis?

I am studying nucleate boiling. For my case, Level Set Method is more accurate
