Hi,
I am simulating a double mach reflection problem with higher order unstructured WENO scheme. When I use a less diffusive formulation, some vortical structures appear in the mach stem (middle one in the triple mach stem region). When I use a more robust and diffusive formulation, the structures are less prominent. But, this yields a smooth contour.

The literature doesnot mention which solution is correct and I guess it is impossible to get the exact same structure for two different schemes/grids.

Can anyone guide me which result is more valid? And how can one say if the scheme is good based on these results?
