MI & Higher-Order Convective Scheme.

Hi everybody.

I am trying to write my own CFD code like a previous phase in my Ph D work. I am using a collocated grid and I am applying the Momentum Interpolation technique (Rhie and Chow) to avoid pressure oscillations.

In all papers that I have read about this approach a linear interpolation is used for the Momentum Interpolation. I think it will work properly with CDS (or Upwind) convective scheme. However, I am not sure about it when higher-order schemes are used: Will it reduce the order of the approximation of the convective velocity?

Could anybody guide me about this subject, i.e., momentum interpolation and higher-order convective schemes?

Thanks in advance, Ana
