Help modelling 2 phase flows

I am currently working on a 2 phase model using water and air. Has anyone successfully modelled a partially submerged object using Fluent as the solutions we are getting are failing. The water and air are being treated as seperate inflows with separate velocities and they are imiscible. I would be very grateful for any help!! M Fortey

Re: Help modelling 2 phase flows

Hi; I have tried to model the flow field arround ski of an aircraft by Fluent5.2.3. The results are very dependent to the numerical grid. The grid orthogonality is very important. With the triangular unstructure mesh, I got very bad results. Because the 3d nature of the flow, only with a 3d simulation I got approximatly good results with Fluent5.2.3. I am reported that very better results provided by using Fluent6. regards.
