courant number
Hi all,
I am running a pressure based steady state simulation in Fluent. I could not find a way to check the courant number. Is it not available with steady state calculations? looking for your expertise, please!!! Thanks Salman |
Hi Salman,
You can display the Courant number in a field by going to display->sweep surface->properties of contours->contours of :select velocity->second pull-down menu: select cell courant numper (at the bottom) Kind regards, Wiebe Zoon |
hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have checked the path you advised, but this is the "Cell Reynolds Number" at the bottom and not the cell courant number. I have no idea whether they are the same things or not? Regards Salman |
Hi,
No, this is not the same. (With me, the Courant number is below the Reynolds number). Are you running a transient simulation or a steady state one? (The Courant number only has a meaning in a transient simulation.) Regards, Wiebe. |
hi,
Thats what I have asked in the main topic. :)) Its a steady state simulation. So it means that courant number is not available for steady state!!! Thank you very much. Regards, Salman |
