Has anybody compared FloWorks, CFdesign, EFD.lab or Star-design. Particularly interested in boundary layer resolution/meshing.
Thx |

EFD.Lab = SolidWorks + FloWorks (Professional Version)
EFD.Lab uses a non-structured Cartesian cut cell mesh. Initial mesh generation is fully automated, and so is mesh refinement during the calculation. So once you have created your solid model, your work is essentially done, since EFD.Lab takes care of the rest. The cut cell mesh does not actually resolve a boundary layer, but rather 'models' it (you still have flow separation points and regions of recirculating flow). |
