GMSH: Volume of two intersecting cubes

1 Attachment(s)
Hello!

I built a big cube with a small cube laying half in it. I created all the surfaces of the both cubes and as volume for the big cube I selected: Surfaces of big cube and then surfaces of the small cube. I painted a picture to describe it better. The 3D meshing does not work, it says: "Self intersecting surface mesh"

What I wanted to mesh is the big cube with a hole where the small cube cut in! Is this possible that way or do I have to create more points where the objects intersect?

Hi,

You have to create the first volume,
then create the second by using the faces of the first.

GMSH doesn't permit any volume or faces intersections.
