I'm interested in solving the 2D Euler equations on a blunt body travelling at > 3 Mach. Is there any available software that is freely avilable online that can do the job without having to develop a code from scratch ?

Try NSC2KE http://pauillac.inria.fr/cdrom/prog/unix/nsc2ke/eng.htm

You can generate grids using BAMG and also do adaptation quite easily.

actually codind from scratch is easy for this problem. as M>1 we have to use a time marching approach(hyperbolic). When you code by yourself you can try different schemes

Hi,

Why do you imply above that a time marching approach makes coding from scrath easy.....as oppossed to what? Thanks for youer reply in advance.

Only marching can be used.If it is a steady Euler equation use one co-ordinate direction as marching. It it is unsteady use time (marching has to be used).
