Finding Volume fraction at outlet when it changes its phase.
Hello everyone,
I have a refrigerant coming from inlet and passing through some coils. On top of the coils i have a heat source added to the refrigerant. There the refrigerant is changing its phase from liquid to vapour state. I want to use Multiphase model in fluent for this. My primary phase is liquid and secondary phase is Vapour. I have to find out what is the volume fraction of Vapour (phase2) coming from outlet. While defining the problem in fluent (mixture model) is asking for Volume fractions of phase 2 both at inlet and outlet. Suggest me which model i have to use to find out Volume fraction at outlet. I have inlet pressure and flowrate. Thanks in advance. |

Have u found the answer to ur question? I am modelling a similar case, but with no heat exchange & I have velocity at inlet & operating pressure, but no mass flow rate, I'm using VOF & velocity inlet & pressure outlets, to find the mass flow rate at the outlets, but I can't find the volume fraction of the secondary phase at the outlets. Any thoughts on that? Thanks a lot in advance. |
