SIMPLE Algorithm

I entered into Numerical Methods a couple of days back. My professor asked me to formulate a program in C using SIMPLE method given by Patankar. I have been reading the book 'Numerical Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow' by Patankar. I have a couple of questions. If anybody can answer me it will be of great help. my questions are:

1) how to calculate the velocity coeeficients in the momemtum equation (pg. 122, eq 6.8-6.10) ?

2) Is velocity coefficient 'ae' and pressure coefficient 'aE' different ?

3) Can time-step be ignored ?

well, from your questions 1 & 2 it seems you need to first understand the staggered grid arrangement. its the key and will answer your 1st as well as 2nd question.

Hi , u r doubts will be cleared from this book, CFD by Malalasekhara,,this is the best book through which u can understand SIMPLE algorithm very easily.
