CFD-analysis of hydroplane: STAR CCM or Flow Simulation?

Hi.

My student group need to analyze the stability of a high-speed hydroplaning catamaran. The boat starts to take off at high speeds, we need to prevent this by, among other things, improving its stability.

We want to study the aerodynamic stability of the boat. SolidWorks Flow Simulation do the job? Or do we have to use the supposedly more complicated STAR CCM+?

We need to know the following:

- Lift, drag and moment coefficients on the boat.

- Lift curve (relationship between lift and angle of attack)

We have no previous experience using CFD, except for playing around a little in Flow Simulation in SW.
