Default about local bump shock wave drag reduction

Is there any ppl could advise me who was the first developed the bump shock reduction theory? And which literature gave a well present about this theory? Thank you very much!

If you imply weakening a shock wave with surface bumps, then one of the earliest papers concerned with the problem was that by Tai et al., AIAA Paper 87-1239, 1987. A brief review of developments performed before 2002 is available in Section 4.3.2 of the book "Boundary Value Problems..." by A. Kuzmin.

Thank you very much for ur kindly reply. Unfortunately, I cannot download those papers due to the my universities' poor library. In Tai's paper, did he propose the single hump to weakening a shock or double-bump? Thank you very much!

Tai et al. proposed a single bump and used test facilities for research. A sort of double bump on an airfoil was examined with CFD by Sobieczky & Seebas in Ann. Rev. Fluid Mechanics, Vol. 16. pp. 337-363, 1984.
