Reversed flow

Dear Sir,

I am using FLUENT to capture the flow pattern in a irregular 3-D geometry under turbulence and non-isothermal condition. I am getting the statement like this

" reversed flow in 20 faces on pressure-outlet 6" and
"turbulent viscosity limited to viscosity ratio of 1.000000e+005 in 86657 cells" . Finally solution is not converging

can you suggest me how can i rectify the problem

Thanks in Advance
With Best Wishes & Warm Regards
Sateesh

Hi,

I do not have a lot of experience; however, from what I know the issue with the second error refers to a poor mesh. In my experience these errors occur when utilizing turbulent flow and they appear just in the beginning of the analysis. Then, as the number of cells decreases, they disappear. If the number of cells is increasing instead of decreasing, I would go back and check my mesh and the time step that is being used.
