2D fin. diff. (only diffusion) in cyl. coord. code

hi, i am looking for an already written 2D finite difference Fortran90 code in cylindrical (or spherical) coordinates only regarding diffusion. It is clear that I could write it on my own but since I am not an expert on this field and my thesis is not concentrated at all on CFD I am trying to find the quickest and most efficient solution to my problem.
Any stable and robust model would suit since I do not think that diffusion poses as big of a problem as other phenomena. I would be very thankful if you could provide me information about where I could retrieve such a code. Regards, Costa |

ya so costa i work in the filed of heat transfer and i use the finite volume method. i work on the mixed convection in the entrance reginon on circular ducts i can send you a program of vertical fully developed fmixed convection that it works with only diffusion terms as in pantankar if you wanted that program just tell me ya and i am greek also

Geia sou Joseph,
Thank you very much for your reply, I would be very interested in such a code (provided of course that you want to give it out). Where do you study? (I presume that you are doing a PhD in a CFD-related field.) In my case I am only interested in looking at 2D diffusion in cylindrical coord. and adding some reaction and adsorption-desorption terms. But from the mass (or heat) transport point of view this should not be a problem (please correct me if otherwise). The fact that your grid is vertical makes things also easier. An important question: is your code written in fortran? If yes, I would be very grateful if you could send it to me.... Kwstas |
