Question of Mesh Generation(merging)

Dear All,

I am trying to simulate the blood flow in the vessel with an aneurysm after the stent is deployed. But I am stucked with the mesh generation...http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...lies/frown.gif Currently I have both the vessel and the deformed stent surface mesh(in .stl file), anybody has idea how to merge the two meshes and then generate proper volume mesh?

Many thanks!!!!

Vivien

Hi Vivien,

depending on how urgently you need this I would offer to have a go at it. Basically we are developing and maintaining an open-source mesher. Your problem is exactly the kind of non-standard meshing that we want to offer to customers. So, if you agree that I use your geometry as an example and if you have a bit of time I can try to see what we can do. The problem is that for most of next week I will not be able to look at it, but if we are lucky it might work more or less "out of the box".

Regards,
Oliver

Hi, Olivier,

That would be of great help! I can send you both meshes via email. Please kindly let me know your email address. If possible, lets dicuss on it when you have time.

Thank you!

Vivien

Vivien:

If you don't mind having two people look at your geometry, I'd be happy to look at it in Pointwise to see if we can provide a solution. I'm not trying to compete with Oliver - just want to look at interesting problems. My email address is jrc@pointwise.com.
