Efficiency, thrust/drag with regard to hovering
I'm used to computing thrust, lift and efficiency for an airfoil moving in a uniform stream.
Efficiency, as in propulsive efficiency is defined as:
However, in a hovering case, the body is not moving.
So, what does thrust or drag mean? Must it be zero since the body is not moving?
How is efficiency defined in this case?
