Dear all,

I am modeling a welding experiment in which Argon is used as a shielding gas, and Copper is used as the solid domain for electrode.

Argon gas starts conducting electricity at 12000 K , so I have inserted a heat source to heat the argon domain upto a value of 12000 K then I switch it off on the 50th iteration, now after that the Argon gas should start conducting electricity and should heat i.e. ( JOULE Heating effect) but the temperature falls down .

From what I understand is that the Copper electrode is not producing sufficient heat for argon to conduct, I have tried increasing and decreasing the voltage but it does not help. Some one please help me with this problem.

I have uploaded the Physics , the definition file and the results file. Please help me with this problem.
