How to make pipe flow in 2D?
Hint) Use axisymmetry in Solver:)

is it impossible?

Hi;
you can model a 2-d pipe flow using axisymmetric solvers.
please note that all equations should be set in cylindrical reference frame. in this case your variables are only functions of R and Z.
you need to define a rectangle as the following.
-left side will be inlet
-right side will be outlet
-upper side is wall
-lower side is axisymmetric or mirror.(depending to the software you use).
lower side is in fact center of the pipe.
