hi,
i have to following question:
I want to simulate a hot gas jet exaust of a pipe into a colder freestream
(hot streak in a gasturbine).

What i have from measurement is a 45x45 grid and the data for each node is:

- velocity u
- velocity v
- velocity w
- turbulent kinetic energy
- turbulent intensity [%]
- total pressure
- total temperature

How can I estimate epsilon in order to use the measured turbulence kinetic energy as an Inlet boundary Condition in ANSYS CFX?
The shear of the hot gas with the colder freestream has to be modeled as accurtate as possible...
any suggestions?

Thank you very much!!!

forgot to say:

x is the streamwise direction and I want to use k as a profile BC for ANSYS CFX. Does epsilon has to be also a profile (for each node different) or can one assume a constant value over the whole inlet?

Thank you
