Structured vs Unstructured
Hello,
I'd like to know what your oppinion is on this matter, entirely subjective of course. =) I realise that all problems are unique, but I'm sure you have an oppinion what kind of structure you prefere in general. So what are the major drawbacks/benefits of the two? Cheers! |
Re: Structured vs Unstructured
IMO structured gives better results in boundary layers, basically everywhere you need to get good gradients. Unstructured for complex geometries and far away from the walls. I nowadays use mixed meshes only, and would suggest that to anybody if the solver can handle those.
