Air flow in HDD

Dear Friends, I am about to simulate turbulent air flow characterisitics in hard disk drives. In this connection can anyone advice me on which turbulent model should be used. Also I would like to know if there exists any literature that provides comparison of numerical results with the experimental data.

Thanks in advance Sundar

This may not be exactklywhat you are looking for, but worth a try:

Effect of Radial Clearance on the Flow Between Corotating Disks in Fixed Cylindrical Enclosures Mohammad Al-Shannag, Joan Herrero, Joseph A. C. Humphrey, and Francesc Giralt J. Fluids Eng. 124, 719 (2002)

Prof. Humphrey (MAE, university of Virginia) works on modeling of HDD's. Check more of his works or contact him for more info.
