Hi All,

I am an experienced CFD applications engineer but am new in writing CFD codes. I started seeing how complicated it can be. I can't go further without help and would be grateful if you gave me a hand. The only reference I have is my class notes. Could you reccomend me some clean and easy references for writing codes? Thanks in advance.

www.cplusplus.com

Really nice site if you choose c++ as your language. Then I use the book by Versteeg and Malalasekera. The book by Patankar is also good. For code examples (in FORTRAN) i recommend Fletcher.

C.A.J. Fletcher: Computational Techniques for Fluid Dynamics, vol. 1, 2nd ed, Springer-Verlag, New York, 1991

H.K. Versteeg and W. Malalasekera: An Introduction to Computational Fluid Dynamics, Prentice Hall, London, England, 1995

S.V. Patankar: Numerical Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow, 1980, Washington, DC

Good Luck

Take a look at Hoffman & Chiang as well if you want to start from really simple cases and get confidence in your coding that way.
