Fluid Structure Interaction

Hi. Can I seek some advice about a CFD problem??? I might be doing a project, which involves 6 Degree of Freedom Navier Stoke Equations. This means that the CFD problem has the fluid flow and solid body motion solved simultaneously. The fluid flow influence the motion of the solid body, while the solid body motion influence the fluid flow. Can this be solved using FLUENT software? Currently, I know that in FLUENT solver, the motion of the solid body is fixed arbitrarily and then we find the fluid flow field. But in actual situation, the fluid flow field will influence the solid body motion and in turn influences the fluid flow. Besides using Fortran programming, what other software can I use to do that problem??? Is there a new version of FLUENT software coming up whereby I can do this fluid structure interaction (the fluid affect solid body motion, solid body motion affect fluid. But are solved simultaneously).

I don't know anything about FLUENT, but I'm currently writing a GMRES code to solve a flow-structure interaction problem. Out of curiousity, what are you working on?

Mr. Jeter - it's spelled "curiosity." Now get your butt back on the field, we're holding an extra practice after that horrendous performance at Shea... and since when did I agree on using GMRES? I thought we talked about using the Immersed Boundary method. See me in my office.

You can have a look at fluidyn-FSI

Dear Sir,

My model is square shape, 2D , simple model .The pink colour represent the reaction between reactant(e.g.glycerol with steam) , with the product (e.g. as hydrogen , carbon monoxide & carbon dioxide). I had key in the reactants & the products already by selecting:

->define
->materials
:name the each reactants & products
-Selecting material type : mixture
-Fluent mixture material : mixture-template
-key in all the reactants & products in properties (mixture species : name)
-key in number of mole for each reactant & product in properties(reaction:finite rate)

All the reactants & products can be obtain from the fluent database.

The red one represent the catalyst. I need to create the catalysts (e.g platinum-titanium oxide , platinum-silicon oxide and platinum-aluminium oxide ) . How should I do it?

CAn I directly change the mesh size in the gambit file ,than convert to mesh file ,to be open in fluent software??

Mr. Steinbrenner ,It seems that you're a mean boss. GMRES is better for that case.
