Conservative TVD or WENO scheme?

Hi,

I'm using TVD-RK and WENO scheme to simulate shock wave.

But seems it's not very good at mass conservation, does any one have idea of Conservative TVD/WENO/ENO scheme?

Thanks

Wen

Take a look at the paper, Journal of computational physics, 150, 561-594 (1999).

A high-order weno finite difference scheme for the equations of ideal magnetohydrodynamics.

When you say that it's not good at mass conservation, what exactly do you mean? In my experience, failure to conserve mass indicate problems in the solver, not the algorithm. Have you done a free-stream conservation check with your solver?

Kim and Ag:

Oh, I guess I made mistake on the code. Now my code does conserve mass. I was taking weighted values of the backword flux difference, rather than the flux it self.

The Jiang And Wu paper helped me out.

Thanks,

Wen
