shock detection in the Riemann problems(specially in the stationary contact problems)

Hi!
i am using own code. actually i m working on 1_D Riemann Problems, conditions are domain length=1.0, interface x=0.8,RHO_L=1.0,U_L=-19.59745,P_L=1000and
RHO_R=1.0,U_R=-19.59745,P_R=0.01. L stands for left and R stands for right and t=0.012.

First you should have an analytical solution for your problem if you don't have one (you can compare this with the numerical one):

J.D. Anderson - Modern compressible flow.

Second - if your numerical solutions oscillates you probably have an implementation problem: maybe with your boundary conditions or maybe with the order of the numerical scheme you use. For a second order scheme (and high orders) you must use limiters functions in order to remove the oscillations (or you can try with a very fine mesh).
