What to you think about COMSOL CFD?

We know Fluent, Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, etc. but what do you think about this FEA code of CFD?

I personally love COMSOL. I have ran a lot of different problems using this software including natural convection and fluid structure interaction problems.

Dear friend. I want to simulate a 2d channel with one wall has sinusoidal displacement. The motion is completely induced with wall motion. did you have any experience about this problem in comsol?if yes any help about this problem is appreciated.

I have not had any experience with channel flows; I am sure it is possible to simulate in comsol. I have performed a lid driven cavity as an example a while ago and was able to correlate that with some other known results. Is the function of the wall time dependent and periodic? Besides that I would say to give a stab at it and see how it goes. What version of comsol are you using?

I have worked with other cfd packages and I am new user of comsol.

What is the difference between different version of comsol?

The gui and the turbulent solvers. In 3.5a and 4.0a you have the K-epsilon solver. In the 3.5a version you had to supply a wall offset; you were limited to the accuracy of the law of the wall. In 4.0a the turbulent model is solved all the way to the wall without any user input! Do you have any access to any version of COMSOL? Which wall are you going to allow for the displacement (possibly provide a diagram). You do have the ability in COMSOL to apply a periodic boundary condition but I haven't had the need to fiddle with it.

My current problem is implementation of sinusoidal motion as function of (x,t) for lower channel wall.The flow is completely induced with wall motion and I think the flow is laminar.
