Hexahedral Mesh Generation software
I created a software algorithm for hexahedral mesh generation. I created a volume mesh directly - i.e., without going through from Edge-Surface-Volume. I am wondering if this is something unique or unusual??
I implemented a proof of concept code in my Windows based CAD framework. I described it in www.iNet1000.com.
Right now, I can only deal with a domain made of line-edges. That is, the edge-type is set to a straight line... I believe eventually I can extend it to ARC, SPLINE, etc.
I implemented an algorithm to decompose the domain when a new element is inserted into the existing regions of the domain, such that the hexahedral decomposition is maintained after insertion.
I am not a CFD expert. I have only limited exposure to CFD, but do have an extensive experience in graphics and CAD software arena.
