hello all. I have a room to model contaminants in. A flow equation,a temprature equation and a contaminant equation. I want to model the contaminants like the temperature equation, I mean using "c", no. of particles per volume flow, instead of "T", temperature. But Dears the problem is the boundary conditions,I mean for example on the walls, what is the boundary conditions? Thank you all.

dear sir,

it all depnds on the contaminant you have. Is it concervative or nonconservative ? If it is conservative, then you should have an idea of the concentration distribution along the vertical direction , for example, you can establish that by experiment.

If it nonconservative, then pls make sure that there is exchange with the boundary. Then you can use a pick-up function like in sediment transport modeling.

Sincerly,

Unless there is a source or sink of contaminants at walls, the BC there should be zero flux (in analogy to adiabatic BC for the energy).

I hope this helps, Rami

Hello. We know the no. of particles and the velocity coming in. Thank you Yonas. Thank you Rami. your idea is helpful. sincerely, mhf
