Transmissive outflow.

Hello,

Can anyone explain what is meant by a transmissive condition at the outflow for the Pressure. Or any other variable if possible. Why would one need such a condition (in low as well as high speed flow).

Thanks.

Re: Transmissive outflow.

I believe you ask about a "full outlet" BC: Zero pressure gradient at the boundary in conjunction with zero velocity gradient. This can be applied for the supersonic flow, for example.
