Hi,

I’ve successfully implemented a point implicit scheme into my density based CFD solver (For hypersonic flow regimes).
Everything worked fine on a planar geometry. However, when I started using the Axisymmetric geometries, some fluctuation appeared in the heat flux curve near the stagnation zone.

The solver has originally been written in Cartesian coordinate, and I couldn’t find any paper or doc modeling axisymmetry in Cartesian coordinate. So I’ve adapted one from cylindrical coordinate to Cartesian ones.

I probably made a mistake, and at this stage, I’m nearly abandoning this.

I’d really appreciate if some one can send me some doc or a tip that can help here.

Thanks.

Alex.
