irregular data interpolation

Hi. All~ I want to interpolate data from irregular grid to irregular grid.

i.e.> I have input data (x1,y1,z1) and I want to get the output (x2,y2,z2). here, (x1,y1,z1) and (x2,y2) are given.

Please, Help me! and Thank you in advance

Re: irregular data interpolation

The best interpolation method for this is the "Natural Neighbours" technique.

You can also use least squares (There are many variations of this technique)

Re: irregular data interpolation

You can ask the authors of the site I suggested for source code. They also have a paper discribing the technique. You could get this paper and then implement the interpolation technique yourself.

Good luck,

Jeff
