Hi,

There is an free and open-source CFD code under development at SourceForce called OpenFlower.

Its development was launched 7 months ago. It is intended to solve the Navier-Stokes equations with an LES approach. It uses a 3D finite volume technique on unstructured grids and is multi-element (prisms, pyramids, tetrahedrals and hexahedraks are possible in a single mesh), which enables the code to deal with complex geometries together with robustness.

At the moment, the code can solve unsteady heat equation in solids and is also applicable to the solution of solidification/liquefaction problems by solving the Allen-Cahn system of equations. The solution of the incompressible Navier-Stokes equation will be the next big step.

The development team is seeking partners (developpers, testers...) to go on with this great project!

See you soon, VortexFlow, OpenFlower Administrator.
