Koranten is on a distinguished road
Hi everyone,

In order to perform a calculation in free convection, I need a mesh fine enough to render the physical phenomena.

I am using FLUENT by the way.

If I understood well, the center of my first cell should be inferior at y+=11.

But how do I calculate the value of y+?

From what I understood, I am supposed to estimate a value of the free convection velocity, but I will also need an estimation of the friction coefficient, and also a way to calculate U_tau, beeing the friction velocity.

I think that these parameters are function of geometry, turbulence, and so on, but I guess I could find a summary somewhere.

Do you know where I could find some tutorial or something?

Regards.
