Hello,
Has anyone had any sucess with rescaling a turbulent boundary layer? I have implemented a recycling boundary condition for generating turbulent inlet conditions, however because the flow is external (over a flat plate) I need to rescale the boundary layer at the inlet. I am also trying to match some boundary layer parameters and the novel approach of a simple entrance length would work, however the extra element count that goes with it is undesired. I have read a few papers on this technique however it is still over my head somewhat. If anyone has done this and can provide a better understanding that would be greatly appreciated. |
