I'm looking for some good reference that has a more complete literature survey for hydroelectric power plant or research development in Francis turbine (including some historical development). I'm working on the unsteady turbine operation recently. Can anyone please tell me some reference source to look at?

Thanks for your info but it looks like they are working on the steam turbine. I'm more interested on the Hydraulic Francis type turbine & is looking for a good survey/ overview of what has been done in this area, particularly for unsteady flow in the Francis turbine & their application etc...

If you are looking for hydro turbines CFD works, you should get the proceedings of IAHR Symposiums on Hydraulic Machinery and Systems. Last one was held in Sweden (http://www.swedpower.se/IAHR2004).

I don't think it is for free however.
