Fixed grid methods for compressible viscous flow

In my study, I will study the simulation of large deforming moving boundary problems. So I want to use fixed grid methods combined with Immersed boundary methods to simulate viscous compressible flows. It is a challenge topic for me. Because using immersed boundary methods are hard to simulate high Re number compressible flows. Although there are some papers about high Re number compressible flows, I still feel hard. Can you give me some suggestions? Is immersed boundary method a good choice for this study? Thank you

Is no one interesting in fixed grid methods for viscous compressible flow with large moving/deforming body? What do you think about immersed boundary method (direct force method)? I prospect your good suggestion. Thx!
