Default Object Oriented FEM Libraries/Source Code

Hi All,

I am looking for some free object oriented FEM libraries/source code, anything that may help a novice like me. I am in a transition from ~4 years of C programming to C++. I am using a popular C++ book. I have come to a point where it is not of much help. I would now love to see how other people have used Object Oriented approach to code FEM. I have to begin converting my FEM code from C to C++ soon.

Any comments/suggestions/references will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Abhijit Tilak.

Do you know the deal library? It is a FEM library focused on adaptive methods, and the programming is state-of-the-art C++. Even if you don't use it, the ideas behind it may be very useful. Here is the address: http://gaia.iwr.uni-heidelberg.de/~deal/

Hey Márcio,

Thanks a lot! I know about deal now! My masters thesis was actually on r-adaptive FEM, so the "DEAL" is a pretty good deal!!

Thanks,

Abhijit Tilak.
