Hi! I am a PhD student and i am creating a turbulent code from a laminar one, the last is incompressible and uses a "simple" algoritm for the pressure correction. I'm going to simulate a synthetic jet and the turbulence model that i will use is the standard one. My problem is related to the schemes that i have to use to discreatizate the equations of k and epsilon, to the explicit or implicit treatment of the various term in the equations of k and epsilon, to the initial conditions. The two equations are coupled. Do i resolve them in a coupled way? I think that i will use a Newton-like algoritm to linearize them. Is this a good choice? I know that the problems that i have are not simple to face and resolve. If you know a good procedure to resolve my problems or some references to do that, please contact me. Thank you!
