Reversed flow at inlet condition

Hi all,
I am trying to simulate a trainsient state problem, i am getting the following error
" reversed flow in 76 faces on pressure-inlet"

could anyone please help me on how to tackle this problem.

thank you in advance.....

check boundary conditions

hi,

there might be variety of reasons for it happening. its difficult to decode this type of error unless the context is clear.

if you are solving for a incompressible turbulent flow, it might have to do something with the boundary condition setting such as

i) use of a turbulence specification method at inlet;
ii) maybe you could use a velocity inlet instead of pressure inlet
iii) if u have/haven't set a reference pressure and temperature point

check ur problem physics as well, if it justifies a reverse flow as in due to negative velocity (suction) at inlet

Thanks siri,

I will try with vel. inlet.
