Use of mass inlet boundary condition

Hi all,

I am working on a problem that is fairly a comrpessible type flow process, but still using pressure based solver (since the rate of compression is not very high),I have used Mass flow @ inlet as the B.C's and pressure as the outlet condition.

I kindly request you to let me know can i use tha above combination of the boundary conditions in a flow problem of the above nature.

thank you.

Its a good choice so long as you know the exact values for them.

However, maybe I would have preferred the other way round - total pressure at inlet and mass flow rate at outlet, provided that information is known and of course running Fluent.

Honestly can't say what how other solvers might work
