I don't think it has been applied to commercial package.

Sorry, Mr Xia GP. As I know, the FLUENT 4.3 has one part on spectral element method. Of course, the geometry may restrict the use of SM. But that is the challenge.

NEKTON from Fluent is a specialized code for thin film coating and materials processing.
