C & hyperbolic grid
What are the differences between a 'C' grid and a hyperbolic grid? (my knowledge of CFD is very limited!) I understand a 'c' grid looks like a C and 'hyperbolic' grid has something to do with the nature of the PDE (how does it 'look' ?). I wish to understand better. Thanks

Re: C & hyperbolic grid
A C-mesh refers to the topology of the grid - it resembles the letter C. The term "hyperbolic" probably refers to the grid generator, i.e. the grid was generated using a hyperbolic grid generator (solving a hyperbolic equation for the coordinates) instead of an elliptic grid generator (which uses an elliptic equation for the coordinates).
